What I missed was that they had a mirrored upside: haste. When you Equip a fresh creature, you are locked into the same pass the turn, then attack cycle for use of your upgraded creature

Tinker decks and Wildfire decks (which rely on cards such as Voltaic Key and Grim Monolith) have fuelled huge Strokes that weren't intended solely as a kill condition in a combo deck

They also both have effects that rely on other monsters to fight for them

Instead, use oversized sleeves like the KMC Character Guard or the new Dragon Shield Clear Outer (ignore the name) which will both fit over your standard outer sleeve
